Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the pre-sale owner for assigned pursuits, partnering with Enterprise and Client Executives to qualify prospects, develop deal strategies, deliver product demonstrations, lead solution workshops, and assess delivery feasibility.
- Engage with senior business and technical decision-makers to understand strategic objectives and demonstrate the value proposition of Itron Resiliency Solutions WS and EP&R offerings.
- Ensure continuity between pre-sales and delivery by confirming technical scope, integration feasibility, and solution strategy.
- Play a key role in RFP responses by drafting functional and technical answers that are accurate, clear, and compliant.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Client Executives to create and shape new opportunities that expand solution scope and increase Total Contract Value (TCV).
- Partner with Product and Delivery teams to identify adoption-critical requirements and perform fit-gap analyses for new use cases.
- Demonstrate understanding of alternative technologies and competitor approaches to clearly articulate Itron’s differentiation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field—or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of client-facing experience in SaaS pre-sales, solution architecture, product management, or related roles within the utility industry.
- Proven ability to storyboard customer use cases and translate them into executable technical solutions with clear business value.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
- Excellent software demonstration skills that incorporate business value into solution presentations.
- Ability to travel 40–50% for customer and internal meetings.
- Work-from-home capability with no physical limitations preventing travel or meeting expectations.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with utility industry resiliency solutions, emergency planning, or worker safety technologies.
- Familiarity with SaaS integration strategies and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Knowledge of competitive landscape and ability to articulate differentiation effectively.
