About Reframe

Reframe Systems is on a mission to deliver fast, cost-efficient, and climate-resilient homes for everyone. Our modular building platform and software-defined microfactories reduce costs, shorten delivery timelines, and lower embodied carbon across all types of housing—from single-family homes to large multifamily developments. Our first digital factory, located in Andover, MA, is just the beginning of our national expansion. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms, we’re reimagining how housing gets built.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development of the systems that power our microfactory, from workcell automation and robotics to factory orchestration and operations software. This role is deeply cross-functional: you’ll collaborate with manufacturing engineers, software developers, roboticists, operators, and business leaders to define the “what” and the “why” across our manufacturing technology stack.

You will own the roadmap for factory execution and automation products, guiding features from idea through implementation and iteration. This is a rare opportunity to shape the core tooling behind our end-to-end industrialized construction process, and to do it in a highly dynamic, real-world production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own Product Strategy for the Microfactory Stack: Define and evolve the vision, strategy, and priorities for Reframe’s factory software and automation systems, including factory orchestration tools, robotic workcells, and operator interfaces.

  • Lead User-Centered Discovery: Work directly with operators, automation engineers, and factory leaders to identify pain points, gather feedback, and uncover high-leverage opportunities for product improvement.

  • Translate Ambiguity into Roadmaps: Break down complex operational or technical needs into clearly scoped initiatives and user stories. Manage backlog and roadmap across multiple product surfaces.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with software, robotics, and manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, delivered on time, and aligned with user needs.

  • Measure and Improve Impact: Define success metrics for new features, track adoption, and drive iterative improvement based on real-time usage data and frontline feedback.

  • Act as Internal Product Evangelist: Communicate product vision, trade-offs, and status across the company—from floor operators to executive leadership.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a complex technical environment (e.g., manufacturing systems, robotics, factory software, or hardware/software integration)

  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and design teams in fast-paced or ambiguous environments

  • Familiarity with agile product development practices, including writing user stories, backlog management, and sprint planning

  • Strong systems thinker with ability to prioritize across short-term factory needs and long-term product scalability

  • Clear, concise communicator able to bridge business, operations, and engineering

  • Passion for manufacturing, advanced robotics, or industrial automation

  • Bonus: Experience in the AEC or construction tech industries

This Role Is For You If…
  • You’ve been embedded in or adjacent to a factory, R&D lab, or robotics program and enjoy translating messy realities into elegant tooling

  • You thrive in high-ambiguity, high-ownership environments

  • You’re equally energized by walking a production line and debating UX tradeoffs for internal tools

  • You believe product excellence can drive real-world impact, faster, cheaper, and greener housing

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
