Software Monetization Architect

Role Summary

Analog Devices is building a scalable, enterprise grade Software Monetization platform to support the sale of software, services, subscriptions, and bundled hardware software solutions across digital and partner channels. We are seeking a Software Monetization Architect to define and drive the end-to-end architecture spanning digital commerce, entitlement management, bundling, subscription lifecycle, and revenue recognition.

This role will play a critical part in designing a future‑proof monetization architecture that enables new business models while integrating cleanly with existing enterprise systems such as eShop, SAP S/4, Zuora, Entitlement Management Systems (EMS), and downstream finance platforms. The architect will work closely with IT, Finance, Digital, and Business unit stakeholders to translate monetization strategy into executable architecture and phased roadmaps.

Job Duties  

  • Define the target state‑ architecture for software monetization, covering:
    • Digital & eShop purchase journeys
    • Entitlement and licensing management
    • Hardware + software + subscription bundling
    • Subscription lifecycle, billing, invoicing, and renewals
    • Revenue recognition, royalty reporting, tax, and financial posting
  • Design phased architecture roadmaps that balance near-term revenue enablement with long‑term enterprise reusability.
  • Architect integrations between digital channels (analog.com, eShop) and backend monetization platforms to support:
    • Software SKUs, terms, duration, usage-based‑ models
    • Digital delivery of license keys, entitlements, and services
    • Self-service‑ customer experiences for purchasing, managing, and consuming software offerings.
  • Lead architectural design for enterprise-grade entitlement and licensing platforms, including:
    • Feature-based, device-‑based, and user-b‑ased entitlements
    • Upgrade, reassignment, and lifecycle management
    • Integration with security, key management, and device firmware where applicable
  • Ensure the solution is extensible to support future bundling scenarios, including hardware software systems and solution l‑evel offerings.
  • Define integration patterns between subscription management platforms (e.g., Zuora) and SAP S/4 for:
    • Billing, invoicing, and collections
    • Revenue recognition (recurring, usage-based, and one‑time)
    • Royalty reporting, tax, and financial reconciliation
  • Partner closely with Finance to ensure solutions are compliant, auditable, and scalable.
  • Evaluate vendors and solution options (EMS, subscription, bundling platforms) and provide architecture driven recommendations
  • Translate complex business models into clear architectural designs, standards, and integration patterns
  • Support executive-level discussions with concise architecture views, tradeoffs, and roadmap implications.

Qualifications Required  

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or platform architecture
  • Hands‑on experience designing software monetization, subscription, or licensing platforms
  • Strong understanding of Entitlement and licensing models, Subscription management and billing, and Revenue recognition
  • Experience integrating digital commerce platforms with ERP and financial systems
  • Experience with SAP S/4, SAP BRIM, Zuora, or similar subscription/monetization platforms
  • Experience with Entitlement Management Systems (commercial or custom)
  • Background in hardware & software bundled offerings or device-based licensing models
  • Familiarity with security, key management, and digital product delivery patterns.
  • Proven ability to design phased, scalable architectures in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, including executive level‑ audience
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive change across multiple teams.
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working across both Agile and traditional SDLC models.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $139,370 to $201,815.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.

  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
