As a Summer 2027 Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a professional business environment while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience within our Pharmaceutical Distribution Operations Warehouse Automation team.
Throughout the internship, you will work on real business initiatives, collaborate with team members and leaders, develop professional skills, and contribute to projects that support Cencora's purpose of creating healthier futures.
Start Date: June 7, 2027
End Date: August 13, 2027
Location: Remote but will likely do some DC visits
This internship is designed for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn while making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Under the direction of a Sr. Manager or Director, the Intern assists with inspection, integration, and testing of various Material Handling Controls implementations that form Cencora's key business operations.
Responsibilities

• Assists the Project Teams with implementation, functional specifications, interface specification, testing, issue tracking, and trend analysis.
• Assists corporate and/or division MHE enhancement projects with evaluations, implementation plans, testing, documentation, delivery, deployment for project software/systems/hardware/equipment, and project closeout.
• Assists with training and support of automated Material Handling installations.
• Keep management updated with accurate project and task information.
• Participate in requirements, design, documentation, and evaluations.
• Support ongoing projects, reporting, analysis, or process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and internship program activities.
• Present project outcomes, recommendations, or key learnings at the conclusion of the internship.

Education and Experience

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution. If enrolled in an undergraduate program, must be a junior or a senior.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
• Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Skills and Knowledge

• Programming skills in Visual Studio or Java are required.
• Programming skills in Database are required.
• Experience with Python, Azure, Databricks, or PowerBI is a plus.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, volunteer, or work experiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good decision-making skills and customer service skills.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to receive feedback and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

$37,752 - 56,650
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
