Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2025

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Based on the candidate’s background and skill set, one or two projects will be selected for them to tackle during their Summer Internship.  These projects may be in the following areas:

  • Improvements to software development process to automate, provide feedback, and/or tools for developers to use when working within Azure DevOps.

  • Tools to gather, analyze, and present data on our development process metrics.

  • Tools to gather and analyze data related to troubleshooting a robot error.

  • Design and prototype new sections / pages for our web-based GUI interface.

In addition to this project work, Interns will also be encouraged to work with and learn about how our robots are designed, setup, and operated as they are available to help setup, perform tests, or investigate some issue with the robot hardware.

These projects will follow and the Intern will learn about our software development process and phases (requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing) and how we develop high quality software with features that meet our customers’ project requests.

Key Deliverables: 

The intern may have a project which improves our software development process through automation or other tools.

The process improvement projects would improve the quality of the process and help us with our zero-defect goals.  Some of the other projects would support our efforts to improve the feature-set of the product (i.e. new product development).

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Engineering or Computer Science Degree.

  • Software development projects / experience.

  • Software languages to include C/C++, JavaScript, Python.

  • Experience with robotics or other embedded devices.
