There are massive amounts of data points being generated in the real world every day, across the millions of pregnancies happening each year — ranging from medication usage and safety to symptoms and health complications — and we believe these hold the key to advancing maternal and infant health outcomes. In building the Pregnancy Evidence Project, our aim is to close these data gaps, ensuring that pregnant women have access to the data and evidence they need for informed and confident pregnancies.

As an early member of our team, you’ll play a key role in building and shaping our platform. You’ll interact directly with users, understand and be excited by our long term vision, and build a world-class product that helps to empower women with better resources and access to critical data during pregnancy.

• Design, develop, and maintain a robust, secure, and scalable event-driven, cloud-based platform comprised of a variety of front and backend integrations and services 
• Collaborate with our team to define technical requirements, set priorities, and drive the adoption of best practices in code quality and documentation
• Understand and champion the needs of our users, advocating for best-in-class UX/UI, accessibility, privacy, and security throughout the product development process

• You bring 5+ years of experience building, maintaining, and supporting customer-facing full-stack web applications using cloud-native and DevOps best practices
• You thrive in an early-stage startup environment: you’re excited to speak directly with users and customers, you’re ready for high degrees of ambiguity and a fast-paced environment, and are able to pivot quickly to take advantage of new opportunities  
• You have strong judgment, are highly proactive, and are excited to operate with more responsibility and fewer rules – no job is too big or too small 
• You are eager to actively contribute to building and growing a world-class engineering team and culture, and shaping Zenith’s success

• Prior startup experience, especially in a remote and/or seed-stage environment
• Experience with server-side web frameworks such as Elixir Phoenix or Python Django/Flask 
• Experience with functional programming paradigms and languages such as Elixir, Python, or Clojure
• Experience building domain-specific AI applications, based on the latest LLMs and RAG techniques
• Experience with a variety of database technologies, including relational and NoSQL
• Prior experience with healthcare technology, healthcare privacy regulations, and/or healthcare data frameworks like FHIR and/or HL7 is a bonus, but not required
