Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Develop microservices for global users, user interfaces, cloud-based applications and their designs, CI/CD, and observability tools. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Consultant (IT), Technology Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing single-page web application software for end users using a combination of REACT, Typescript, JQuery, and JavaScript technologies; Working with users and product managers to analyze, design, and create screens and workflows that will effectively and efficiently serve their purpose; Using automated testing tools including, Selenium, Cucumber, and Cypress to enable test driven development, ensure high quality output, and protect against regression occurrences; Making API calls to back-end services using REST and XML web services, including using tools such as Postman or curl for exploration and troubleshooting existing APIs and JSON responses; Using SQL, Oracle, and Splunk to troubleshoot user errors; Using CI/CD tools including NPM and webpack to author build scripts as well as trigger and troubleshoot builds and deployments in an automated CI/CD environment; mentoring junior team members in properly completing software engineering tasks.
