About this Role
This software engineer role offers what many ambitious engineers are looking for:
- An exceptionally talented and accomplished team of engineers who held lead, staff, principal and director level roles in their jobs prior to joining Fay
- A massive opportunity for ownership and impact with 10 engineers building the world’s largest preventative care platform that’s serving tens of thousands of people at any given point in time
- An engineering environment that marries the brisk pace and minimal process of an early-stage startup with the system stability and software quality of a more mature startup
- An ever-important mission of delivering high quality, convenient and affordable care to the hundreds of millions of people who need it
Our software platform is well established and our user base is already quite large (and rapidly growing), but we’re still in the very early innings of building the world’s hub for healthy living. It will take more world class engineers to bring our ambitious vision for Fay to life, and that’s why we’re hiring.
Who would be a fit? A generalist software engineer who is eager to take ownership, inclined to move quickly and hungry to ship high-impact software. We’re open to hiring backend-focused, frontend-focused or 50/50 full-stack engineers who’d work across our platform (written in Python) and/or our web frontend (TypeScript+React).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Building: You’ll be first and foremost building features for Fay's users
- Collaborating: While all engineers at Fay are able to build independently, we’re a highly collaborative group that teams up on projects and problems to get things done better and faster
- Owning: We’ll look to you to find your areas of ownership and become a subject matter expert for the rest of the team and company
