Software Engineer (Rust)

Linera is the first blockchain optimized for real-time applications and interoperability at Internet scale. Founded by a former Meta/Novi research engineer, Linera introduces microchains—lightweight, parallel chains that enable direct user interaction. Backed by top-tier crypto investors, the protocol is currently live on testnet and actively preparing for mainnet launch.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to help build our cutting-edge blockchain infrastructure. In this role, you will develop open-source software in Rust and contribute to the design of high-performance Web3 solutions. As part of a small, innovative team, you will have significant ownership of technical projects and shape the future of blockchain scalability through your contributions.

• Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and efficient software in Rust.

• Contribute to the architecture of blockchain protocols and distributed systems.

• Implement automated tests and write detailed documentation to ensure code quality and robustness.

• Collaborate closely with other engineers to drive innovation and deliver excellent software.

• Take ownership of significant technical features, from conception to production.

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

• Strong proficiency in Rust and previous experience in blockchain and Web3 technologies.

• Ability to solve complex technical challenges and work on open-ended projects.

• Knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and cryptography is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
