Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Software Architect, IT Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Software Architect, IT Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: building and managing real-time data pipelines and streaming applications using Apache Kafka; configuring, monitoring, and optimizing Kafka clusters for high throughput and low latency; developing enterprise-level payment and liquidity applications using J2EE; leveraging Java 8+ features including lambda expressions, streams, and multithreading; utilizing the Spring framework to build robust cloud native Java applications; utilizing Hibernate and MyBatis for object-relational mapping and data management of high-volume financial data entities; developing and implementing complex stored procedures to manage hundreds of terabytes in Oracle databases; utilizing XML and JSON for data interchange and configuration; deploying and managing enterprise applications on Apache Tomcat web server; developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services; implementing API security and versioning strategies; ensuring CI/CD using Maven and Jenkins; conducting unit testing using Junit to ensure high-quality software delivery; managing and querying large volumes of at least one terabyte of unstructured and structure data; and designing and implementing payment and liquidity data models and indexing strategies for optimal performance using MongoDB. This position requires one (1) year experience of with the following: developing dynamic and responsive user interfaces using jQuery and ExtJS; ensuring cross-browser compatibility and a seamless user experience for operational users, including product management, treasury officers, salespersons, external clients, and senior management; performing data analytics and query optimization using SQL and PLSQL; using GIT for version control and implementing branching and merging strategies.
