- Develop and maintain localization algorithms and systems for AR/VR headsets
- With mentorship of others, would own a component of the navigation stack for "Project Buck".
- Inertial navigation and filtering for SBMC headsets
- Contribute to real-time AR systems including SLAM, localization, navigation, simulation, and more.
- Work with a small team of 4 engineers (plus HM) focused on delivering systems that must work robustly in the harshest and most challenging environments in the world.
- Team members will be responsible for end-to-end development, testing, and verification of state-of-the art platforms for AR systems.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
- 3-7 years of experience in developing quality software products
- Strong proficiency with C++ development
- Approach problems holistically with the end-user in mind
- Able to cut through ambiguity and design experiments to inform product decisions
- Strong mathematics background
- Experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and robotics
- Experience with SLAM and VIO systems
- Linux/Android and Windows development
- Experience with cameras and digital sensors
- Experience with inertial sensors, GPS
- Experience developing distributed systems with limited compute resources
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
