Broadridge is Growing! Our team is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer who is passionate about the craft and art of developing mission-critical software. You love to learn and work with leading-edge technologies in a collaborative work environment. Main responsibility of this role will be to write clean code, data design, testing, technical design and troubleshooting. This is a contract role to work remotely. Work Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed.  This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be coming into the office 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Responsibilities:
Analyze, craft and implement new features/functionality primarily using the following technologies: Java, SQL, Snowflake, Spring Batch, Angular (Typescript)
Work on multiple projects and manage time effectively.
Participate in requirement gathering process, propose solution, and create design documents.
Provide timely and accurate communication of status to team, project, and technical leads.
Gather requirements, design, code, test and implement according to design specifications.
Collaborate with project lead on identification of problems and suggest solutions for the resolution of coding issues.
Seek out new technologies and ideas to add value to our products.
Re-engineer current systems to allow for flexibility, stability, and scalability while preserving existing functionality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience;
8+ years of experience working in related technologies- Java, Angular, SQL and web services;
8+ years of experience with object-oriented design and in-depth working knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies
3+ years of experience working in related technologies- Snowflake and Spring Batch.
Strong data analysis, design, and testing skills
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Understanding and some experience in Agile development
Ability to solve complex problems independently and gather experienced advice as needed.
Ability to work under the supervision of the team lead and as part of multiple teams on overlapping projects.
Ability to focus on delivering results in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities · Web service development experience is a plus.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $130,000.00- $140,000.00. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
