Responsibilities:
- Build data ETL pipeline to enable quick prototype research projects.
- Develop, extend and maintain software products in an innovative and iteratively growing environment
- Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
- Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product release
- Create and execute approved test plans and analyzes and report results
- Collaborate in a team environment across multiple research and engineering disciplines and make architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver software solutions
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
- Experience developing and testing scalable machine learning pipeline or data pipeline.
- Proficient in python, Java / J2EE Development, Spring.
- Experience in popular data format, json, protobuf, xml, etc.
- Knowledge on cloud computing. Strong skills in AWS is desired
- Proficient with Unix/Linux
- Proficient in version control tool (e.g., GIT, Subversion or CVS)
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment (GitLab, Jenkins)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a team-player with the ability to work within a dynamic team environment
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver
- Self-taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Development experience with geospatial data
- Development experience with Kubernetes
- Development experience with Docker
This is a full-time paid internship (20 to 40 hours per week) with a fixed hourly rate of depending on your level of education as follows:
Undergraduate Students: $25/hr
Graduate Students: $30/hr
PhD Students: $35/hr
