Verisk’s Extreme Event Solutions team is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale the platforms that power risk analytics across the globe.

This is an opportunity to work on high-impact products using a modern tech stack (.NET, Angular, AWS) while also shaping how engineering teams leverage AI-assisted development tools to work faster, smarter, and more efficiently.

We’re seeking engineers with strong fundamentals who are excited to learn, adapt, and grow—not just within new technologies, but within the next generation of AI-augmented software development.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build scalable backend services (REST APIs) and responsive frontend applications
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and well-architected code across the full stack
  • Collaborate with engineers through code reviews, GitHub workflows, and team discussions
  • Quickly ramp on .NET, Angular, and AWS, supported by structured onboarding and mentorship
  • Experiment with and leverage AI tools (e.g., code assistants, test generation tools) to improve productivity
  • Debug complex issues and contribute to improving system performance and reliability
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Core Engineering Skills

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns
  • Full Stack Experience required
  • Experience in any modern backend language (C#, Java, Python, Go, etc.)
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)

Growth Mindset

  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  • Curiosity about how AI can enhance software development workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience with .NET, Angular, or AWS
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development and distributed systems
  • Exposure to AI-assisted coding or developer productivity tools
