We are seeking a talented, communicative, and curious Software Engineer (Python) in the Western US (PT or MT) to join our talented, remote-first US team.

About Our Team:
The Results by OpenX team works with Data Science and other Engineering teams to create and maintain the platform that enables our customers to utilize our growing suite of AI models. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of SWEs and SDETs focusing on different domains (both frontend and backend), making impactful changes to our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply strong understanding of system architecture and critical components to build scalable and maintainable software Design high-performance, distributed, low-latency systems
Architect, create, and deliver new features and functionality
Work with Product to drive the requirements, and own the project end-to-end
Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of servers and processes
Write clean, reusable, readable, and testable code following team coding standards
Design for testability, and contribute to test plans by writing robust unit, component, and integration tests
Participate in code reviews, providing high-quality and constructive feedback
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of working experience with Python in a software engineering role
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; we’re open to non-traditional paths with strong engineering fundamentals
Experience with database system design
Act as a technical lead on small to medium-sized initiatives, coordinating efforts and ensuring delivery quality
Ability to clearly articulate technical designs, trade-offs, and implementation details to teammates and stakeholders
Proactively address technical debt and recommend refactoring strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in digital media, marketing technology, or advertising technology
Strong understanding and application of data engineering and data warehousing best practices
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Copilot
Experience working in cloud-native environments (ask us about our migration to Google Cloud Platform!) using Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
Be excited to work with emerging technologies and complex projects
Fluently speak algorithms, data structures, and platforms
Experience with the Python Pandas library
