As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. We are looking for an experienced engineer to automate existing Tableau reports and migrate them into a scalable reporting solution integrated with our evolving tech stack (SQL Server backend, ETL/SSIS, SSAS, .NET to ReactJS + Java transition). This role requires a strong understanding of BI/reporting platforms, backend data architecture, and frontend visualization technologies.
Job responsibilities
  • Analyze existing Tableau reports to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Develop scripts and processes to automate report generation and distribution.
  • Migrate existing Tableau Reports to scalable solutions.
  • Develop and enhance frontend visualization technologies to improve user experience.
  • Implement best practices for data visualization and user interface design.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reporting solutions with SQL Server backend, ETL/SSIS, SSAS, and .NET.
  • Facilitate the transition from .NET to ReactJS and Java for frontend visualization.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for efficient reporting
  • Document processes, workflows, and solutions for future reference.
  • Provide training and support to team members and end-users on new reporting solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in BI/reporting platforms.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing reporting processes and solutions.
