What You'll Do:
- Apply algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to build scalable and performant code.
- Architect a resilient system for a customer-facing web application from scratch .
- Partner with collaborators and technology teams on how to best implement desired customer features and improvements.
- Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
- Drive automated solutions to standardize methodologies, workflows, reusable modules, and tooling.
- Contribute to team's standard processes for logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitors, alerts, practices, and processes.
- Conduct design and code reviews and improve engineering standards.
- You will participate in setting guidelines for evolving development practices, as well as mentoring junior engineers.
- Actively participate in scrum ceremonies such as grooming, planning, demos and retrospective.
- Participate in on-call rotations, solving production issues and improving operational standards.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
- 3+ years of strong programming experience with Java, React, and Typescript
- Ability to think independently and break down product requirements into well-defined tasks
- Ability to collaborate with Team Members to ensure development efforts align with collaborator needs
- Work efficiently in a production environment, solving, prioritizing and addressing production issues
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Experience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available systems
Bonus:
- Experience in e-commerce
- Experience with agile methodologies a plus
- Experience with tools and environments (Ex. version control systems, bug/issue tracking tools)
- Experience in Python
