What You'll Do:
- Work on functions that improve the end-to-end supply chain experience, including purchase order management, electronic data exchange platforms, vendor compliance tools, inventory visibility, and operational analytics.
- Design and build interfaces that integrate every aspect of our supply chain through cross-functional collaboration.
- Write simple, scalable, and sustainable code that deeply understands our business needs and contributes significantly to team success and operational excellence.
- Participate in creating ground breaking solutions that help Chewy remain the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- 1-2 years of experience coding in Java.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services for cloud-based application development.
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
- Proficiency in working with databases and SQL.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take accountability for your work.
Bonus:
- Exposure to or experience with additional AWS tools and services.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and learn from peers.
