We are seeking a Software Engineer I - Mobile to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
The Software Engineer I will join the software development team where they'll focus on Mobile. This team develops innovative native iOS and Android applications that are part of broader integrated HealthCare solutions. This role will be responsible for the architecture, design, and development of features for one of our essential product lines. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to apply core programming skills, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and learn best practices in software development.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of mobile components for integrated solutions (on-premises and cloud-based solutions).
  • Experience developing and debugging software in a multi-threaded environment
  • Develop full-stack application functionality within a dynamic agile scrum environment.
  • Create high quality code testable through automation.
  • Create unit and functional automated tests.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ years' of providing relevant experience supporting applications and systems in a production environment.
  • 1+ years of experience designing and building mobile applications on iOS and/or Android; including deployment of applications into respective app store(s).
  • Solid CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, networking, concurrency).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners as needed.
  • Experience developing apps for phone and tablet form factors, different versions of platform OS, and different generations of devices.
  • Experience/exposure to working in an agile scrum environment.

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, TLS, OIDC, or SAML.
  • Experience working with PNSes- Platform Notification Systems (Firebase cloud messaging, APNS).

This position offers a total compensation range of $110,800.00 to $120,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
