The Team:
The Core Mining Engine teams are responsible for evolving our proprietary in-memory analytical database to our cutting-edge Premium Process Query Engine, that empowers our customers to perform process mining on large datasets. It is the backbone of Celonis’ Execution Management System (EMS) platform, which helps thousands of customers optimize their business processes and operations.
The Role:
As a member of the Core Mining Engine team you will work on our analytical database backbone, its load orchestration, as well as the Premium Process Query Engine. It is built on a microservice architecture, optimized to process large amounts of data. You will address scaling problems and increase robustness.
The work you’ll do:
- Implement features in existing or newly created microservices using modern Java, Spring, RabbitMQ, Postgres and more
- Take ownership of features from design to operation
- Collaborate with various teams and coworkers to cope with rapidly increasing system workload
- Orchestrate our existing and future analytical database in the cloud by working on our microservices in charge of scaling and balancing the load
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in our current system to further improve our customer experience
The qualifications you need:
- You have experience with writing scalable, reliable, and testable software
- You are experienced in Java. Python or C++ are a plus
- You know how to analyze complex systems
- You have solid knowledge of data structures / algorithms, especially from a performance point of view
- You have first experience with asynchronous / concurrent programming and have worked with the low-level building blocks of synchronization like semaphores, read-write locks, mutexes etc.
- First experiences with the Spring framework are a plus
