Core Function
This Software Engineer will help build the first-of-its-kind Network OS: an AI-powered platform that maps, tracks, and activates human relationship capital at scale. This tool will give CEOs instant visibility into their networks, outperform LinkedIn for opportunity sourcing, surpass CRMs for warm intros, and offer richer connections than other similar platforms. It will visualize deep network graphs across VIP stakeholders (investors, board members, shareholders) and power Ascendancy’s mission to be the most well connected company in the world.
Responsibilities
Design and build robust backend platform architecture and core API integrations
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support internal analytics and AI/ML applications
Manage and optimize Ascendancy’s data lake/warehouse
Design data workflows that integrate and experiment with ML models
Ensure high performance, security, and reliability across backend systems
Lead infrastructure decisions, especially related to data governance and scalability
Qualifications
Strong proficiency with Python, Neo4J graph databases, and the FastAPI framework
Proficiency with frontend frameworks, particularly NextJS/Typescript & React
Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark, etc.)
Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (ideally GCP)
Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases
Preferred: Interest in AI/ML workflows (building inference pipelines)
Preferred: Past experience with Gmail, WhatsApp, or SMS integrations
Extremely detail-oriented, adaptive, collaborative growth mindset, and proactive
Solid organizational, analytical, logical reasoning, oral, and written presentation skills
Expectations
Full-time, full-throttle position with deliverables set on a long-term roadmap and 1-2 week long sprints
Collaboration with tech leadership to establish KPIs for key story points (both user and system level)
Ability to map software operations with software spend and user usage metrics
