About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Engineer, the Software Development Engineer will serve as a core member of an engineering team to design the vision and roadmap of the software platform services central to the company’s core products and growth. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.

You Will:

  • Lead software development teams to ensure the delivery of payment solutions. 

  • Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution. 

  • Develop easy-to-use software platform, leveraging expertise with software languages, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure. 

  • Assess and validate software systems to ensure they adhere to the highest standard for security and compliance, collaborating with internal Infrastructure and Security teams, as needed. 

  • Implement, accelerate, and reengineer the delivery of world-class developer tools and practices in collaboration with Product Engineering, Product Management, and other internal teams. 

  • Mentor engineer team members to implement software systems that promote efficient practices and enable standardization across platform services.

You Have:

  • Position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with software development, system design, software design patterns and algorithms, and driving technical designs to achieve quantifiable goals.

  • 1 year of experience with product feature design and development.

  • 1 year of experience developing backend systems, including testing and debugging.

  • 1 year of experience with building, delivering, and maintaining reliable and scalable backend services on a public cloud platform.

  • 1 year of experience providing technical leadership for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

  • 1 year of experience with software design, development, implementation, and testing.

  • 1 year of experience with writing secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code.

  • 1 year of experience with C#, Data structures and algorithms, Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Lambda, Maven, MySQL, Object-oriented design, Object-oriented programming, Python, ReactJS, Rest, Service-oriented architecture, Spring, SNS, SQS, and Typescript.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $137,259.00 - $170,000.00. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
