Salary Range: $1000 - $1200
Work Schedule: TBD

About the Client
Teamficient has a client that manufactures high-performance, ecocompatible mineral sunscreens, skincare, and water-sports gear designed to protect people without harming marine ecosystems or coral reefs. Scientifically tested, EWG-verified, and EcoVadis Gold-certified, their mission is to empower water lovers, divers, travelers, and eco-conscious families to adventure responsibly while advocating for ocean health.
Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic, eco-passionate Social Media Marketing & Community Support Specialist to manage the client’s online presence and act as the voice of the brand. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for creating engaging short-form content, running day-to-day social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube), fostering relationships with a community of divers and ocean advocates, and providing attentive customer support across social DMs and public channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management & Content Creation
-
Plan, schedule, and execute a consistent weekly social media content calendar aligning with brand campaigns, product launches, and ocean conservation awareness days.
-
Produce native, high-converting short-form video content (TikToks, Reels, YouTube Shorts) highlighting product benefits, reef-safer science, dive trip packing, and eco-tips.
-
Collaborate with brand ambassadors, influencers, and non-profit partners to amplify user-generated content (UGC) and joint ocean advocacy campaigns.
-
Monitor channel analytics (engagement, reach, click-through rates) and present actionable insights to continuously optimize social strategy.
2. Community Engagement & Social Customer Support
-
Act as the primary, friendly point of contact across social platforms—responding promptly to comments, direct messages, tags, and reviews.
-
Answer customer inquiries regarding product application (e.g., mineral sunscreen tips, skin tone blending), shipping, order support, and ingredient transparency.
-
Proactively join relevant ocean conservation, diving, and eco-lifestyle conversations across social platforms to boost brand visibility.
-
Escalate complex customer service issues to internal support/e-commerce teams to ensure seamless problem resolution.
3. Advocacy & Growth
-
Educate followers on the science behind "reef-safer" products vs. traditional chemical sunscreens in an approachable, engaging tone.
-
Assist in managing brand giveaways, ambassador challenges, and trade show/event coverage (e.g., dive expos, eco-festivals).
Candidate Qualifications

-
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing organic social media channels and/or digital customer support for a DTC ecommerce or eco-lifestyle brand.

-
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex science (e.g., mineral vs. chemical UV filters) in clear, friendly terms.
-
Customer Support Mindset: Empathetic, solution-oriented approach to resolving customer concerns in public and private message channels.
-
Tools Knowledge: Experience with social media management software (e.g., Later, Sprout Social, Buffer) and ecommerce helpdesk tools (Gorgias, Zendesk, or Shopify).

-
Deep passion for ocean conservation, outdoor/water activities (diving, snorkeling, surfing, paddling), or sustainable living.
-
Self-starter with high initiative, capable of working independently in a remote environment while keeping teams aligned.
