As a Social Media Manager within the Global Organic Social Strategy (GOSS) team, you will lead best-in-class organic social media strategies that enhance access, engagement, resilience, and relevance for Spotify’s podcast and audiobooks verticals.
The GOSS Social Media Manager champions the voice of our fans, artists, creators, and authors across channels, teams, and workstreams, with a focus on elevating sentiment, driving positive business outcomes, and acting as a leader for social across the company.
What You'll Do
- Advocate for best-in-class organic social in every setting.
- Act as a thought leader to proactively identify and communicate learnings, best practices, platform trends and/or a necessary social point-of-view.
- Regularly report on both the status of work and wider performance, sharing actionable insights with peers, internal, and external partners.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive positive engagement for our content, channels, creators, and business objectives.
- Lead fan engagement, GTM, and content calendar plans, ensuring alignment with GOSS and wider Spotify priorities.
- Stay ahead of evolving social algorithms, best practices and community behaviours, taking proactive initiative to optimize our social presence.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the behaviors, passions, fandoms, and trends, with a particular focus on how podcasts and audiobooks fans engage.
- Monitor social listening to gauge sentiment, identify relevant themes and trends, track, analyze, and optimize social performance to support team KPIs.
- Ensure all content adheres to both the Social Style Guide and Strategy.
- Rigorously vet content for brand safety, alignment with department strategy, and broader business objectives.
- Manage time and resources with care and precision, ensuring thoughtful coordination across distributed teams, time zones, and dependencies.
- Use the RACI model to clearly identify roles and responsibilities across projects.
- Maintain clarity and accountability in communication, ensuring visibility across teams and leadership.
Who You Are
- 5+ years experience leading strategy for organic social media, preferably in a global or entertainment/media environment.
- Proven track record of leading innovative social campaigns, with an adept understanding of how to holistically engage brand, region, creator, and specialty channels.
- Algorithm expertise and experience leading timely optimizations for Instagram, TikTok, X, WhatsApp, and YouTube.
- High confidence in effectively, proactively communicating social insights to influence decision-making internally, between departments, and externally.
- Expert communication, project management, and account management skills, particularly for a distributed environment.
- Excellent discernment in a constantly changing environment, especially as it relates to brand safety, content evaluation, sentiment, and marketing strategy.

- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
The United States base range for this position is $83,810 - $119,729 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance.
