Mission Summary:

As the Social Media Content Specialist, you will be a voice and visual content producer for Motional. You will oversee the company’s social presence—from the development of a content calendar to the copywriting, graphic design and photo or video editing for post creation; plus publishing and community monitoring or engagement.

The ideal candidate has an interest in turning complex technology into easy-to-understand stories while building a brand that prioritizes safety, reliability and accessibility.

What you’ll be doing:1. Content Development and Planning
  • Social Platforms Plan: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content plan and editorial calendar across LinkedIn, X, Instagram and emerging platforms as appropriate.
  • Brand Guardianship: Ensure content reflects a "safety-first" culture and aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor for platform engagement opportunities to foster positive brand awareness and corporate reputation growth.
  • Business Materials: Contribute to creation of marketing materials, presentations, newsletter designs and more, as needed.
2. Creative Production
  • Graphic Design: Create infographics, social tiles, and presentation assets that visualize how technology is developed, tested and results in a consumer benefit.
  • Video Editing: Go from development of a storyboard to the creation of videos that demonstrate technical capability, team work and customer experience.
  • Photo Editing: Direct and edit photography of everything from fleet maintenance to road testing and software development to team outings.
  • AI Integration: Utilize cutting-edge AI generative tools for asset enhancement, workflows, and experimental content formats.
3. Performance and Analytics
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Track KPIs (Engagement, Share of Voice, Sentiment) and translate data into actionable content pivots.
  • Social Monitoring: Monitor industry trends, competitor moves, and public sentiment to constantly learn, innovate and improve.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience in graphic design and/or managing social media platforms.
  • Technical Portfolio: A design portfolio showcasing video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Adobe After Effects), graphic design and photo editing (Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Communications: Experienced copywriting skills; the ability to translate "engineer-speak" into compelling human stories.

Motional is a driverless technology company making autonomous vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality. We’re driven by something more.

Our journey is always people first.

We aren't just developing driverless cars; we're creating safer roadways, more equitable transportation options, and making our communities better places to live, work, and connect. Our team is made up of engineers, researchers, innovators, dreamers and doers, who are creating a technology with the potential to transform the way we move.

Higher purpose, greater impact.

We’re creating first-of-its-kind technology that will transform transportation. To do so successfully, we must design for everyone in our cities and on our roads. We believe in building a great place to work through a progressive, global culture that is diverse, inclusive, and ensures people feel valued at every level of the organization. Diversity helps us to see the world differently; it’s not only good for our business, it’s the right thing to do.

Scale up, not starting up.

Our team is behind some of the industry's largest leaps forward, including the first fully-autonomous cross-country drive in the U.S, the launch of the world's first robotaxi pilot, and operation of the world's longest-standing public robotaxi fleet. We’re driven to scale; we’re moving towards commercialization of our technology, and we need team members who are ready to embrace change and challenges.

Formed as a joint venture between Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv, Motional is fundamentally changing how people move through their lives.
