Provides mainframe patch-management expertise using SMP/E and z/OSMF. Responsibilities include CVE reporting, patch automation, response modeling, validation cadence, package stability reviews, dashboard improvements, baseline dataset development, vulnerability-tool integration, and secure patch deployment. The role also develops AI-driven prompts and automation for testing, RFB validation, and impact analysis while supporting z/OS and ISV software installation, maintenance, customization, and testing.

Requirements🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Partner with vulnerability management teams to support EZ CVE reporting
- Define and finalize automation timelines for Patch Management
- Develop patch response models for ad-hoc and immediate escalation scenarios
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly patching and validation cadence
- Review CVE package stability and improve reporting/dashboard capabilities
- Enable SMP/E processes, define baseline datasets, and integrate with vulnerability scanning tools
- Develop AI-driven prompts and automation for testing, RFB validation, and impact analysis
- Provide advisory and implementation support for secure and stable patch deployment
- 10–15 years of strong hands-on SMP/E experience
- z/OSMF and REST API experience, particularly the Software Management component
- Git and USS/OMVS skills
- Experience installing and maintaining z/OS and ISV software
- Excellent software testing skills, including functionality, robustness, and performance testing
- Strong Python and REXX scripting experience
- Working knowledge of IBM software and mainframe ISV software customization
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong overall IT experience
