Own the full SMB sales cycle from discovery through close, convert inbound and event-generated opportunities, manage pipeline and forecasts, and consistently achieve quota. At Moxie, we empower ambitious aesthetic entrepreneurs to build profitable, independent practices—without burnout, overwhelm, or guesswork. In just a few years, we've grown from an idea to a global, remote-first team now supporting 700+ practices nationwide.

Our purpose is simple: to unlock sustainable success for aesthetic entrepreneurs, at every stage of their journey.

SMB Account Executive

We're looking for an SMB Account Executive to convert Moxie's strong inbound demand into new operators and revenue — helping aspiring and existing medspa entrepreneurs see how Moxie can enable them to launch, run, and grow successful businesses. You'll also be stepping into a role that shapes how Moxie sells: as we evolve from a transactional motion toward a consultative, outcomes-based approach, our SMB AE team is the proving ground for our sales methodology and the talent pipeline for our future Enterprise organization.

Many of the people you'll sell to are first-time software buyers and first-time entrepreneurs making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. This isn't a demo-and-close job — it's built on trust, curiosity, and discovery that feels like a real conversation. You'll report to our Chief Sales Officer and partner closely with a dedicated SDR.

Our objectives for the role
  • Ramp fast: within three months, independently run the full SMB sales cycle — from first discovery through close — with command of Moxie's full suite (platform, coaching and advisory, marketing services, and compliance and legal support), and carry a full quota starting month four.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quota by month six, with progress toward a ~30% win rate, converting inbound and event-generated opportunities while working with your SDR to re-engage high-potential prospects.

  • Run discovery that feels conversational and organic — uncovering each prospect's goals, motivations, and desired outcomes — and confidently sell Moxie's revenue-share pricing model by connecting our economics to the value we create.

  • Maintain strong pipeline management, CRM hygiene, and forecast accuracy, with full ownership of your opportunities.

  • By month nine, make the broader team better: share patterns from customer conversations with Sales, Marketing, Product, and CS; contribute winning talk tracks and objection-handling strategies; and help refine Moxie's sales methodology as we scale.

We're looking for:
  • 2–5 years in a full-cycle closing role where you carried a quota and consistently hit it.

  • A trust-first seller who has succeeded in high-consideration sales — whether as an SMB SaaS AE, in medspa/aesthetics/wellness, real estate, luxury, hospitality, or membership sales. Traditional SaaS experience is not required; exceptional discovery and commercial instincts are.

  • Someone whose discovery feels like a genuine conversation, not a scripted question-and-answer checklist — you're curious about what someone is trying to build before you pitch anything.

  • The ability to balance relationship building with commercial urgency and closing discipline — warmth and a number, not one or the other.

  • Comfort navigating pricing conversations, including a revenue-share model, by anchoring on customer outcomes rather than features.

  • Coachability and curiosity about why we win and lose — you want to improve the motion, not just work it.

  • Comfort with ambiguity: our processes, messaging, and sales motion will keep evolving, and startup experience is a plus. A genuine interest in the aesthetics/medspa industry and the entrepreneurs we serve matters most.

Why join us?
  • Sell something that changes lives. Your customers are entrepreneurs betting on themselves — you'll earn their trust, understand what they're trying to build, and help them get there. Commercial success and real customer impact in the same job.

  • Above all, we're in this to empower small business owners. If you succeed, medspas remain an opportunity for independent owner-operators instead of being dominated by a few large chains. If that speaks to you, speak to us.

  • Real career trajectory: top SMB AEs here influence how Moxie sells and have a clear path into our Enterprise sales organization as we scale.

  • We have much left to build, but given our market feedback and our founding team's company-building experience, we think we're writing the first chapters of a real success story.

  • Competitive salary and stock, and generous health/dental/vision coverage.

At Moxie, we believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, trusted, and included. Our team lives by our values: act as owners, give more than we take, move with speed and care, and simplify and learn every day.

We welcome people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to apply. If you require any accommodations to fully participate in the interview process, please let us know, we’re happy to assist.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
