Job Summary

Black Rifle Coffee is seeking a highly motivated SkillBridge Extern to support our Legal Team, with a specific focus on reviewing and analyzing company contracts across all departments. This internship will provide hands-on experience in corporate legal operations, contract compliance, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, publicly traded company.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a company-wide contract audit, identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential redundancies.
  • Review vendor, supplier, and service agreements across multiple departments.
  • Assist in identifying termination clauses, renewal terms, and opportunities to renegotiate contracts.
  • Support the Legal & Compliance Administrator in developing strategies for contract termination or restructuring.
  • Learn the importance of legal guardrails and internal controls in a public company environment.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings with departments such as Finance, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Assist with other legal department projects as assigned, including compliance initiatives and document management.

Education and Skill Requirements

  • Active-duty service member eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program with at least 90 days of eligibility.
  • Interest in legal, compliance, or business operations fields, some legal experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with contracts and complex documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with contract management software a plus.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Salt Lake City, UT for hybrid work schedule.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.
  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
