Our deep expertise empowers organizations to seamlessly integrate AI into their operations, revolutionizing how they utilize edge devices. We understand the complexities of bringing AI to diverse devices. That's why we create solutions that simplify the process, making it accessible to a broader range of developers. This enables organizations to build better, safer AI faster.

What is a SkillBridge Program?

The SkillBridge Program is a D.o.D initiative that helps service members transition from active-duty military service to civilian careers.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking a motivated transitioning service member to join Latent AI as an Operations Intern through the DoD SkillBridge program. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, adapts quickly, and is comfortable switching hats as priorities shift. As a growing startup, our needs change fast: one week you may be supporting a customer program review, the next helping launch a marketing campaign or streamlining an internal process. You’ll work across operations, marketing, sales, and program teams to help Latent AI deliver its physical AI solutions to defense and commercial customers.

This internship is for training and professional development only. The service member will not displace civilian employees and will work under the close supervision of Latent AI’s operations leadership.

What you’ll do

Your focus will shift based on business needs. Expect to contribute across several of these areas:

  • Business Operations: Help build, document, and improve internal processes, SOPs, and workflows. Track action items, deadlines, and deliverables across teams to keep work moving.
  • Program and Project Support: Assist program managers with schedules, status reports, meeting coordination, and customer deliverables for defense and commercial engagements.
  • Contracts and Compliance: Support the organization of proposal materials, contract documentation, and government compliance requirements (e.g., registrations, certifications, security processes).
  • Marketing and Communications: Contribute to campaign ideas, write and edit content (blogs, newsletters, press releases, social posts), and help create sales enablement materials such as one-pagers and pitch decks.
  • Sales and Partner Support: Help maintain CRM data, prepare for customer and partner meetings, research prospects and markets, and coordinate joint initiatives with partners.
  • Events and Logistics: Plan and coordinate trade shows, conferences, customer visits, and team events, including travel, shipping, and vendor coordination.
  • Research and Analysis: Gather and synthesize information on markets, competitors, government programs, and operational metrics to inform leadership decisions.
  • People and Admin Operations: Support onboarding, recruiting coordination, tooling access, and general administrative needs as the team grows.

How we decide

  • Eligibility: Must be a transitioning service member eligible for the SkillBridge program.
  • Experience: Background in operations, logistics, administration, program management, public affairs, communications, or a related field. Experience supporting command staff or managing multiple lines of effort is a strong plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus quickly, and keep details from slipping.
    • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical concepts (e.g., edge AI, machine learning) for different audiences.
    • Sound research and analytical skills to support data-driven decisions.
    • Familiarity with project management, CRM, or marketing tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp) is a plus, with a willingness to learn new ones quickly.
    • Comfort using AI productivity tools to work faster and smarter is a plus.
  • Attributes: Adaptable, resourceful, and eager to learn. Takes ownership, asks good questions, and is comfortable with ambiguity. Team-oriented with a bias toward action and an interest in AI, technology, or defense.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) is a bonus.

What we offer

  • Hands-On Experience: Gain practical experience in content marketing and public relations within the innovative field of edge AI, working on projects that impact defense and commercial sectors.
  • Mentorship: Receive guidance from experienced marketing and AI professionals dedicated to supporting your transition to a civilian career.
  • Career Transition Support: Build a strong foundation for a marketing career by developing skills, networking, and refining your resume through the SkillBridge program.
  • Flexible Work Environment: This is a remote role, with opportunities to collaborate with our team based in Princeton, NJ, and across the US.
  • Impactful Work: Contribute to marketing initiatives that promote Latent AI’s mission to make AI accessible, efficient, and transformative for organizations worldwide.

This is a "pro bono" position

Location : This is fully remote with the option to work in Latent AI’s Princeton, NJ office.

Duration : This internship aligns with the SkillBridge program, which typically lasts up to 6 months and offers potential opportunities for continued engagement based on performance and business needs.
