  • Enforce strict adherence to secure custody guidelines, search procedures, restraint protocols, and transfer handoffs in full compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Coordinate officer duty rosters, manage daily shift briefings, and ensure proper coverage for scheduled and emergency transport runs across the region.
  • Serve as the primary initial point of contact for field emergencies, vehicle breakdowns, route delays, or security incidents, implementing immediate response actions.
  • Audit officer logbooks, hours-of-service compliance, and safety equipment standards to ensure constant audit-readiness for government inspections.
  • Manage local inventories of security restraints, communication devices, protective equipment, and vehicle supplies.
  • Maintain professional relationships with local detention facility staff, law enforcement, and contracting officers at transit intake/outtake points.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Texas Level III Commissioned Armed Security Officer License.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a registered approved 9mm semiautomatic pistol or .45 ACP handgun
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory or lead experience in secure transport, detention, law enforcement, armed security, or commercial fleet logistics.
  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree or relevant military/law enforcement leadership training preferred).
  • Deep familiarity with government detainee transport standards, secure custody protocols, and DOT vehicle safety regulations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance tracking, pre-trip safety checklists, and basic fleet management procedures.
  • Must be able to pass a rigorous federal background investigation, drug screening, and obtain/maintain required security clearance.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong team leadership abilities, sound judgment in high-stress situations, and effective verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
  • If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
  • Must consent to fingerprinting.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening.
