Job Purpose: Responsible for providing specifications for equipment requirements to support multiple services for moderately large and complex facilities by providing a complete Material Review (BOM), Network Design & Engineering by providing detailed design and engineering schematics. This shall include, but not limited to: evaluating client and facility telecommunication needs, gathering data, soliciting support, training team members and planning for service requirements.
Essential Duties:
- Provide BOM, network documentation and diagram standards for the customer level infrastructure
- Review all existing network documentation and diagrams for accuracy
- Provides for other systems and network engineering tasks, as required
- Communicate BOM, network documentation and diagram status specific project and direction to Management, Install and Field teams
- May be required to travel to customer site to perform or assist with the site survey to gather data required to engineer network.
- Consult with management in making informed business decisions
- Contribute towards developing the roadmaps for company/Customer with Architecture and IT Network Engineer
- Attend and/or deliver training as requested by management
- Perform other related duties as assigned or
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess a good mix of Telecom and Network knowledge to perform large and complex voice/data telecommunications projects.
- Outstanding client focused background and experience working in a high paced environment
- Must have the ability to read/write material lists and make recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment req. with extensive knowledge of MS Office Software Applications, (especially Word, Excel, Visio) and AirMagnet software.
- Must be able to work well under pressure, capable of multi-tasking, be self-motivated and have excellent verbal/written skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (at least 3 year's combined with telecom background).
- 5 years telecom or network engineering background, including 3+ yrs. experience with network design, install, configuration, and troubleshooting, Advance Technologies, Voice, Call Center Technologies, Telecom Network, design of PBX's; firewalls and an in-depth understanding of computer/network security concepts, proxies, Linux OS, and IPSEC; and various types of physical transports and protocols (Copper, Fiber, ATM, PPP, MAN) and IP Management/Subnetting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Certifications in: CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE, Adtran ASP, ATSA and ATSP, Ruckus Rex, WiSE-SZ and RWCA-SE, MCSE, MCP, MCDBA, A+, Net+, Certification, or Telecom certifications
- Security concepts, VPNs, proxies, and networking with advanced LAN/WAN technologies and VOIP/SIP skills.
- Knowledge of SSL, Orion, and/or Zabbix network management system monitoring tools
