Fulton Hogan’s Civil Structures team build some of the most interesting Civil projects in the beautiful Hawkes Bay region.

We specialise in large structural projects such including Bridges, Pump stations and Treatment plants.

No project is too big or to challenging!  We pride ourselves on delivering complex structural civil projects with progressive thinking, collaborative teamwork and have fun doing it. We have an exciting bridge project on the horizon and are looking for a Site Engineer to join our growing Civil Projects team based in Gisborne, servicing the Hawkes Bay/East Coast to deliver the good work we are known for.

This project will be technically challenging as it based in a remote area and the bridge is bespoke, so there is a lot of opportunity for the right person.

In addition to the above you will:  

  • Plan, organise and manage projects from inception to completion

  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with industry standards and specifications including quality control documentation, ITPs to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications

  • Collate field records and input data for accurate daily productivity

  • Oversee the work and provide engineering expertise and technical solutions towards projects   

  • Prepare and review schedules, budgets, staffing and resource allocation plans on weekly and monthly basis

  • Perform audits and checks for site compliance with HSQE

We’re looking for someone with:

You will be passionate about heavy civil/structures projects. If concrete is your thing, we can offer you a range of exciting projects that you can develop your expertise on. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering along with knowledge of New Zealand standards
  • A minimum if 3 years proven experience in heavy civil, bridges, water and wastewater plants and concrete structures
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to plan your work and execute it autonomously
