THE ROLE:
Short-Term Merchandise Coordinator
The Boston Merchandise Coordinator will organize and gather samples for the Studio production process. The person in this role will organize merchandise, with the opportunity to assist in the sample inbound and outbound process as well as assisting in the studio production of boutiques for our website. This individual will be in daily communication with production teams including, Event Coordinators, Boutique Producers, and Studio Team to assess daily production needs and organize for a fast-changing schedule. This position is located in Boston, MA and reports to the Studio Manager.
What you’ll accomplish…
Primary responsibilities are Sample management
- Locate, gather and organize samples for production process meeting department production and quality goals
- Aid in the QA of samples during production
- Organize workload, gathering product in advance of shoot day, verifying that all required merchandise is in studio and reviewing any time constraints with Boutique Producers or Sample Management Teams.
- Working with the Boutique Producers, Associate Studio Producer, and Styling team to shepherd and care for samples throughout the prepping process maintaining vendor packaging
- Responsible for merchandise prep including but not limited to - steaming women’s, men’s, kids clothing, un-packaging and hanging garments
- Collaborates with the Boutique Scheduler to provide product updates for the schedule and review next day boutique readiness/assistant needs.
- Utilize best practices regarding merchandise handling and workflow using a Warehouse Management Systems and software. Merch app, Putty, Google docs, Microsoft Excel.
- Gather all information related to boutiques and relay this information to the associate studio producer and studio team
- Ensure all samples arrive on time for studio by working with the BP’s and KY Warehouse team each day.
Inbound and Pulling Responsibilities
- Receive and open shipments of requests from warehouse and vendors.
- Hang, Tag, scan and organize SKU’s location database.
- Account for items on schedule
- Create daily info sheet to be used by Stylists
- Scan items to necessary locations, Studio, Outbound etc….
Outbound Responsibilities
- Scan items for Studio to outbound when set is completed
- Repackage, Inspect and evaluate all product to ensure re-saleability
- Responsible for all samples throughout full process in studio and shipping closet.
- Follow requirements for RTV and Owned process.

•Basic understanding of production studio pace, sample management and efficiency
- Ability to maintain focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background in retail, merchandising,
- Strong communication skills and excellent ability to work with a wide variety of people
- Flexibility and patience with the ability to accommodate last minute additions to schedules and changes in direction
- Ability to work with a team to accomplish deadlines and production efficiency
- Strong time management skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office is necessary
- General interest in fashion and the desire to be a part of a creative team
