Snowball is looking for a Short-Form Content Creator to build and scale vertical video content for Monarch Money, a modern personal finance platform helping people feel confident and in control of their money.

The OpportunityMonarch is expanding its presence across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels to reach new audiences and deliver practical financial guidance in quick, engaging formats.
As Short-Form Content Creator, you will develop platform-native vertical video that makes money feel less overwhelming and more actionable. You will own the entire creation process from concept to camera to edit, helping define what Monarch looks and sounds like in short-form spaces.
This role is embedded with Monarch’s Creative team. Snowball serves as Monarch’s YouTube and social creative partner, leading strategy, creative development, and channel growth. You will collaborate closely with Snowball’s content experts (27M+ subscribers, 110B+ views) to test formats, refine storytelling, and scale what works.
Short-form content plays a critical role in Monarch’s growth strategy, driving discovery, trust, and education at scale.
What You’ll DoDevelop and execute short-form video formats aligned with Monarch’s mission, voice, and brand values
Own the full content lifecycle including ideation, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing support
Translate personal finance concepts into clear, engaging, and relatable vertical video
Create high-quality, platform-native content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Experiment with hooks, storytelling styles, and visual approaches to maximize retention and reach
Collaborate with Snowball and Monarch’s Brand and Creative teams to ensure accuracy and alignment
Work with Snowball to analyze performance data and continuously optimize content strategy
Stay current on platform trends, best practices, and evolving short-form formats
3+ years of experience creating short-form video content with a strong portfolio
Intermediate to advanced video editing skills in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent, with strong instincts for pacing, structure, and visual style
Ability to produce polished content with efficient turnaround times in a fast-paced environment
Strong videography skills including camera operation, lighting, framing, and audio capture, with experience shooting varied and dynamic footage
Ability to independently film high-quality content, whether using professional equipment or mobile setups
Proven ability to simplify complex topics into clear, engaging, and relatable content
Strong on-camera presence or the ability to direct talent effectively
Self-starter comfortable owning production independently in a remote environment
Strong collaborator with experience working across brand, creative, or marketing teams
Strong interest in personal finance, consumer apps, or educational content, and a genuine passion for learning
Experience in fintech, personal finance, or edutainment content
Existing audience or personal content channel
Motion graphics or design skills
