Job Description

Role & Job Purpose

We're looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to take ownership of our Servicing Training function. This isn't just about managing a team; it's about building a world-class training operation from the ground up that directly impacts the success of our customer-facing teams. You will report directly to the Head of KYC & CS Training and be the single point of accountability for all training initiatives within your domain, turning strategic vision into tangible, high-impact results.

You'll be a key partner to our servicing and operational teams, ensuring our customer service and compliance professionals have the knowledge and skills they need to excel. You will build and develop a high-performing team of training leads and specialists, create a collaborative culture, and continuously drive innovation and efficiency in how we empower our people.

What You'll Do:

  • Define the Future: Translate our overarching Servicing Training strategy into a clear, actionable plan for your domain, focusing on key initiatives for our customer service and compliance teams.

  • Build & Lead: Recruit, coach, and develop a team of high-performing training professionals. You will set clear goals, support their growth, and foster an environment where they can do their best work.

  • Drive Impact: Be the primary owner and lead for all training initiatives in your area. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, embed your team within their functions, and deliver training that moves the needle on business KPIs.

  • Innovate & Improve: Actively measure training effectiveness and team performance. Use data to identify opportunities for improvement and propose new strategies to enhance how we deliver knowledge and skills.

  • Be the Expert: Act as the main point of contact for all training-related topics within your domain, building strong relationships both internally and externally.

This is the kind of a leader you are:

  • Strategic and Accountable: You're a true self-starter who can translate high-level vision into tactical execution. When there's a problem, you take full ownership and find creative ways to get things done, plain and simple.

  • A Seasoned Training Professional: You have a strong background in training needs analysis, curriculum development, and delivering effective training that produces measurable results. You're an expert in adult learning methodologies and can translate complex business needs into practical training solutions.

  • A Data-Driven Storyteller: You know how to define and measure the impact of training programs using models like Kirkpatrick's levels. You can use data visualization tools like Looker to tell a compelling story about training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • An Expert Coach and Mentor: You are passionate about developing talent and building strong, collaborative teams. You have the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects while inspiring and motivating your team to succeed.

  • An Excellent Communicator and Partner: You have superior communication and stakeholder management skills. You're comfortable communicating with and influencing people at all levels and can build trust across different teams.

  • Technically Proficient: You have working knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and other learning management systems (e.g., Absorb).

  • Proven Experience: You have a demonstrated track record of success in a similar training leadership role, typically gained over 5+ years. You're able to show how you've designed, implemented, and managed impactful training programs and teams.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a training leadership role, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing impactful training programs at scale.

  • Demonstrated experience building and leading a team of training professionals, including recruiting, coaching, and performance management.

  • Expert-level knowledge of adult learning methodologies and the ability to apply them to create measurable, results-driven training solutions.

  • A strong understanding of how to link training initiatives to key business performance indicators (KPIs) and a history of doing so.

  • Experience using data to measure training effectiveness, including a strong grasp of models like Kirkpatrick's levels and the ability to use data to tell a compelling story.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Proven ability to act as a self-starter and a single point of accountability, taking full ownership of projects from strategic vision to tactical execution.

  • Experience in the financial services, fintech, or a similarly regulated industry is preferred.

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools.

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and experience with learning management systems.

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or scaling environment where building processes from scratch was a key part of the role.
