Role Summary/Purpose:
As the Onshore Wind Services Sales Manager - India, you will lead the sales efforts for GE VERNOVA’s Onshore Wind business in India. You will be responsible for driving revenue and profitability growth for the transactional services business.
Essential Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
- Oversee all sales activities for existing and prospective clients in India.
- Achieve assigned revenue and profitability targets for transactional businesses.
- Drive growth initiatives through new business models and new product introduction.
Customer Engagement:
- Maintain full knowledge of O&M cycles for all GE Vernova wind customers in the region.
- Ensure optimum customer engagement across different levels within the organization and pre-empt customer needs for transactional purchases.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all customers in your region.
Pricing Strategy:
- Lead the pricing strategy in alignment with global directions, ensuring competitiveness and value pricing.
- Understand market dynamics and growth prospects, coordinating with internal stakeholders to develop and commercialize solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner effectively with commercial, operations, procurement, finance, legal, and supply chain teams to ensure a seamless commercial process from Inquiry to Order (ITO) and hand over to Order to Remittance (OTR) team.
- Ensure timely customer invoicing and payment collection.
Sales Reporting and Compliance:
- Own and maintain all sales-related management reporting systems (i.e. Salesforce).
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to line management and make recommendations or raise red flags as needed.
- Adhere to the prescribed sales process and report-out rhythms to line management.
Growth Initiatives:
- Coordinate with Regional and Global engineering, Product management, and the Regional Sales Leader to own and lead growth initiatives like Power Ups, Life Extension, Repower, and other campaigns.
- Lead initiatives in uncovering new markets, make recommendations, and demonstrate proactive, outcome-focused leadership.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- We are seeking a candidate with a robust mixed technical and business background. Preferable qualifications include a degree in Engineering and a master’s in management, though neither is compulsory for the right candidate. The ideal applicant should have at least 10 years of professional experience, a significant portion of which must be within the Renewable Energy Space in India.
- This role demands a deep understanding of both the technical aspects and the business strategies inherent in the onshore wind sector, particularly within the Indian market.
- Understanding of working level relationships with regulatory bodies and existing network within major players.
