  • Track and report on our presence across answer engine responses to uncover structural patterns that may lead to increases in citations
  • Create content briefs that layout the most optimal structure for improved rankings on search and inclusion in LLM responses
  • Build bi-weekly and monthly reporting that highlight traffic trends and identify categories/authors with strong topical authority.
  • Train our contributors on how to optimize evergreen stories for search and AI citations, honing in on the importance of page titles, headlines, internal links, meta descriptions, sentiment analysis, and FAQs.
  • Identify opportunities to keep content fresh and relevant, highlight problematic elements that potentially harm performance (e.g. broken links in content)
  • Perform keyword research to create thorough content briefs that align with SEO and editorial best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (technical or analytical field a plus)
  • 2-3 years of experience in SEO; Publisher experience is a plus
  • Experience conducting keyword research and Trends analysis with Google Trends as well as other tools to monitor real-time trends in news.
  • A strong understanding of Google’s news algorithm and the key factors that can impact visibility in news search results.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Well organized with a good eye for detail
  • Team player with all-hands-on-deck attitude and an entrepreneurial mind-set.

The annual base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000.

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally. This said, we may have to make changes to our compensation estimates and job descriptions from time to time and we expressly reserve the right to do so.  Should we make any such changes, this advertisement will be revised to reflect such revisions.  We encourage you to occasionally re-visit this advertisement to ensure that you are abreast of any changes.  Thank you for your interest in joining Forbes!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
