Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Specialist addresses the challenge of maintaining site visibility within an increasingly fragmented landscape of traditional search engines and AI-powered Large Language Models. By solving complex technical architecture and structured data issues, this role ensures our content is not only crawlable but authoritative enough to be cited as a primary source in generative AI responses. This individual bridges the gap between traditional SEO and the future of generative search, turning platform volatility into strategic growth opportunities through rigorous auditing and data analysis.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

• Increased eligibility for AI citations and appearances within generative search results through the deployment of advanced dynamic schema markup.
• Technical excellence in site architecture, ensuring high indexability and optimal rendering for both traditional search bots and LLM agents.
• Implementation of a robust tracking framework that measures sentiment analysis and LLM crawling behavior to drive departmental OKRs.
• Leveraging of AI-driven auditing tools to automate the identification of technical gaps and sentiment trends, increasing the speed of actionable insights.
• Strong cross-functional partnerships with engineering teams that lead to the rapid deployment of technical specifications and real-time data access for AI.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

• Proficiency in translating LLM behavioral shifts and Google algorithm updates into high-impact, actionable growth strategies.
• AI literacy and the ability to apply generative tools to analyze machine-readable data and simulate diverse search intents.
• Critical experience in diagnosing and resolving deep-rooted technical indexing barriers related to robots.txt, sitemaps, and Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborative expertise in working across product and engineering functions to maintain data integrity and site performance.
• Advanced interpretation of web analytics ecosystems, including Google Search Console and Adobe Analytics, to report on complex performance trends.
• Foundational understanding of how frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript impact the rendering and visibility of structured content.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in SEO or Digital Analytics.
• Required Technical Skills:
  • Schema Architecture and Structured Data implementation
  • Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Adobe Analytics
  • Technical SEO Auditing and rendering troubleshooting

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Hour - $90,000.00/Hour
