This position plays a pivotal role in shaping our technology differentiation, market positioning, and long-term growth across global markets.
The leader will oversee a rapidly expanding portfolio combining software-defined Asset Performance & Device Management (APM & DvM) solutions, advanced substation monitoring systems, and Monitoring and & Diagnostics products—critical elements for modernizing and securing the transmission and distribution grid. The role carries the unique challenge of simultaneously sustaining growth of proven hardware-based offerings (e.g., M&D products) while transforming the business into a software-driven solutions provider. Success requires guiding customers through this transition by removing adoption barriers, demonstrating clear value from digitalization, and ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software portfolios.
This complexity demands a leader with deep business acumen, strong technology insight, and proven ability to align cross-functional teams behind a dual mandate: deliver short-term business performance in conventional products while scaling next-generation software solutions for long-term impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial and Product Officer (CCPO) of Grid Automation, the leader will oversee industrialization, go-to-market strategy, and commercial development of the portfolio.
Collaboration with regions, supply chain, customers, industry leaders, and the GA CTO Organization (R&D execution) will be essential. The role also requires active engagement across GE Vernova, the Electrification segment, and other Grid businesses to maximize collaboration, drive cross-business initiatives, and accelerate growth.Job Description
