The Senior Wealth Data Specialist provides critical data management expertise and services to different areas across Wealth Investment Products and Services. This position requires a multifaceted agile mentality, data management skills, patience, and persistence to solve complex business problems.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Extract data from diverse sources on multiple platforms and implement data models.
- Develop reports and visualizations to support projects and business initiatives.
- Analyze investment performance data and communicate with senior management, field, and home office teams.
- Analyze data needs and identify available internal and external sources.
- Perform quantitative data analysis utilizing analytical tools.
- Ensure data consistency and reliability. Perform quality checks, contribute to metadata and data dictionaries, document repeatable extract, transform and load processes.
- Design business intelligence solutions.
- Develop data models to integrate and consume data.
- Summarize analysis into user-friendly deliverables by translating technical, detailed data into business-appropriate communications and recommendations. Report analytical results and recommendations in written, verbal, and presentation form.
- Train other teams on data tools and provide guidance on data modeling and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field
- 4-5 years professional technical experience, including 1-2 years showing success in engineering of data management technologies
- Experience with engineering of data management solutions
- Expertise in one or more development or analytical tools such as Databricks, Power BI, SAS, Tableau, SQL, SQL based ETL, MSBI, Visual Basic, or another data mgmt tool.
- Experience with industry standard data cataloging, data quality, and/or data modeling technologies
- The ability to translate business capabilities into technology solutions
- A solid foundation in core data management skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once assuring timely outcomes.
- Ability to deliver results and recommendations in written, verbal and presentation form at an appropriate level for a business audience.
