About this role

As the Senior video creative, you’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of all video marketing initiatives. From strategy and planning to production and delivery, you’ll be responsible for crafting compelling video content that amplifies the Writer brand, showcases our product and features, and connects with our audiences. You’ll be comfortable creating sometimes as an IC, and also ready to manage a video team when appropriate. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage contractors, and ensure every piece of content aligns with our brand identity and goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in video production, video marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse video projects, including product marketing, live events, customer stories, and webinars.

  • Brilliant craft, storytelling, and product marketing instincts.

  • Proficiency in video production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Figma) and familiarity with motion design principles.

  • Experience in hiring and managing a crew of videographers, editors, when needed.

  • Proven experience managing all aspects of video production, from scripting to post-production.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

  • Strong visual storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and brand alignment.

  • Experience setting up and managing in-office production spaces or studios.

  • Passion for staying updated on industry trends and incorporating innovative approaches into your work.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive video marketing strategy to support product launches, customer success stories, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Video production:
    Plan, direct, and produce high-quality video projects, including:

    • Product marketing videos with Product marketing managers (PMMs).

    • Feature showcases in collaboration with motion designers.

    • Webinar interviews and live-stream setups.

    • Customer spotlight stories on location.

    • CEO interviews and leadership branding content.

    • Writer video ads

    • Sales support reels

  • Brand development:
    Establish and refine our video and motion style guidelines to ensure consistency across all projects.

  • Set design & management:

    • Identify and secure locations for interviews and shoots.

    • Set up and maintain a dedicated in-office studio for videos and photos.

  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal teams (marketing, design, product) and external contractors (videographers, editors, production teams) to deliver projects on time and on budget.

  • Process optimization:
    Implement workflows and tools for efficient project management and collaboration across the video production pipeline.

Education:

  • A degree or diploma in Film, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
