Position Summary:

The Senior UX/UI Designer is an experienced contributor on the UX/UI Design team. They will lead designs for one or more cross-functional product teams, while collaborating with fellow designers to ensure consistency across the products. They demonstrate best design practices, lead by example, produce high quality work product, and continuously add value to the design team, their product team, and the organization. They contribute to all phases of the design process including research and prototyping, design execution, and documentation.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead UX/UI designer for one or more product teams, where you will learn in detail about complex product areas
  • Work with product managers, developers, and other cross functional teammates to understand and define product requirements and functional limitations, define user and feature goals, and explore new user experiences
  • Become an expert on the users’ goals and pain-points; define design opportunities and push for user research and design exploration as needed to validate options and deliver effective product enhancements
  • Work in relation to 2-week scrum cycles to quickly deliver iterative UX/UI improvements and explore new features that meet user and business requirements
  • Advocate for your users in order to reduce friction and challenges in their workflows
  • Delight users with a modern SaaS product that is efficient, learnable, and thoughtfully interconnected
  • Help prioritize product needs on your team roadmaps; take initiative to move forward iterative improvements and track their success
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistency across product areas, and bring UX into greater alignment where possible; additionally, imagine brand new user experiences that might better address users’ needs
  • Contribute to all phases of the in-flight design process from research and prototyping to design execution and documentation; share this process with the design team to facilitate further learning and consistency across products
  • Facilitate and manage user testing and persona development, workflow mapping, and other research artifacts as applicable
  • Collaborate with the product team PMs and developers to establish best practices that produce best in class interfaces and experiences for our users:
    • Make sure developers understand how to execute the designs and collaborate to find alternative solutions within the design system when challenges arise
    • QA and approve developer UI work to assure correct implementation
    • Take initiative to write developer tickets for UI improvements and bug fixes as needed
  • Contribute to the in-house Design System component library
  • Contribute to and help test Design System rules for consistent application across enterprise or SaaS platforms
  • Follow exquisite file organization and naming conventions
  • Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a UX or Product Designer role
  • Experience with Enterprise software, SaaS, or other complex/technical design work preferred
  • Mastery of Figma, XD, Sketch or other UX/UI design tools – is willing to work exclusively in Figma, in this role
  • Basic user research experience: user interviews, ideation, usability testing (or a willingness to learn and develop these skills)
  • A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Front-End frameworks
  • Experience leading software product design solutions from concept to delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Pharmacy Benefits, Medical Claims, or Health Insurance companies is a plus; if not, the ability to dive deep on a highly regulated and structured product area and learn the complexities of various areas of healthcare
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills
  • Intellectual and professional curiosity
  • Comfort and experience in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • A strong attention to detail, best practices, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage your time and prioritize work across different product teams and the design team
  • A desire to share work throughout your process with the design team, giving and receiving thoughtful feedback regularly, and contributing to team decision-making and collaboration

Salary Range
$110,000$130,000 USD

This position description is designed to be flexible, allowing management the opportunity to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed to best meet organizational goals.
