About this roll* (Responsibilities):

Benefits Management:

  • Administer US employee benefits (health, 401(k), etc.) using Workday and vendor systems.
  • Optimize Workday for efficient benefits processes and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (ACA, COBRA, etc.).
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues.
  • Handle benefit invoices and procurement processes.

Program Development & Analysis:

  • Evaluate and implement new benefit vendors and programs.
  • Analyze market trends and benchmark studies to ensure competitive offerings.
  • Assess plan costs and utilization, and propose improvements.
  • Develop recommendations for benefit plan design changes.

Process Improvement & Project Management:

  • Streamline benefits processes and transition tasks to Toast's Talent Operations team.
  • Provide benefits expertise for internal improvement projects.
  • Manage benefits projects, track progress, and ensure timely completion.

Employee Support & Communication:

  • Address employee inquiries and assist with life event changes.
  • Create and maintain clear employee communications and intranet resources.
  • Resolve escalated employee issues with vendors and brokers.

Open Enrollment:

  • Lead the annual US open enrollment process.
  • Coordinate system and payroll updates for plan changes.
  • Develop and execute effective employee communication strategies.



Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience administering employee benefits programs in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and HRIS systems (Workday a plus).
  • Experience with benefits administration in a high-growth environment is a plus.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.

Pay Range

$88,000$141,000 USD
