Senior UI Developer – Informatics Team

We are looking for a talented Senior UI Developer to join our Informatics team in building our next-generation digital notebook application for the scientific community. This role focuses on the front-end design and development of our cloud-based electronic notebook product, translating marketing requirements into an intuitive and visually appealing user experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop secure, high-performance, and cross-platform single-page applications (SPAs) and reusable widgets.

  • Collaborate closely with the team to define priorities, specifications, and feature implementation.

  • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code that is reusable and testable.

  • Enhance and maintain new, high-impact functionality within Signals Notebook.

  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility for a seamless user experience.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.

  • 3+ years of experience with React.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong JavaScript programming skills.

  • React 18+ experience, with a deep understanding of component-based architecture.

  • Experience integrating with server-side APIs to build dynamic, data-driven applications.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern UI frameworks to create visually compelling and user-friendly designs.

  • Experience building single-page applications (SPAs) and maintaining scalable front-end architecture.

  • Familiarity with UI/UX best practices and an eye for aesthetics.

  • Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments, collaborating across teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a sense of ownership over your work.

  • Life sciences experience is a plus but not required.
