At Bose, we believe sound is the most powerful force on earth. We’ve dedicated ourselves to improving it for more than 60 years. And we’re passionate down to our bones about making whatever you’re listening to a little more magical.
The Engineering team at Bose is a thriving, passionate, deeply skilled team of professionals from a broad range of disciplines and experiences, who share a common goal—to create products that provide transformative sound experiences.
Job DescriptionAt Bose, R&D is the beating heart of what we do, and when we’re at our best, we deliver products that use audio to deliver real benefits — benefits so fresh and unexpected people didn’t even realize they needed them, but once experienced say they can’t live without! We’ve spent decades working hard studying, advancing, and obsessing over the many technical fields that go into audio products: acoustics, psychoacoustics, electronics, transducers, and more. Transducers are the back bone of our products. We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Transducer Engineer to join our transducer development team.
Responsibilities
In this role, your focus is on the engineering of new transducers from initial feasibility through to mass production. You will work with our supply base to source and qualify new audio transducers including moving coil and microspeakers. You will achieve this by:

- Work closely with OEM suppliers / OEM driven model / FDS
- Developing specifications for new transducers.
- Recommending what transducers will be in our next products.
- Analyzing acoustical data using MATLAB.
- Developing and improving our tools, lab fixtures, and overall measurement capability. Measure parts as needed.
- Performing failure analysis and competitive analysis.
- Communicating directly with suppliers and manufacturers with written reports.
- Serving as an SME for acoustic measurement best practices within automotive and align with technical leads in other engineering organizations (consumer, production test, etc…). Enforce consistency with both internal and external labs.
