The Senior Technical Writer will create and maintain developer documentation, sample applications, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring technical accuracy and improving developer workflows using AI tools.
The summary above was generated by AI

Imagine building code examples that thousands of developers use to integrate with NVIDIA Omniverse. Working with our Developer Experience Lead, you'll create executable sample code, validate API accuracy, and establish patterns that accelerate ISV adoption. You'll use AI tools to multiply your impact—writing better code faster and catching issues before developers hit them.

We need someone who can bridge the gap between complex APIs and real-world developer workflows. You'll build reference implementations that actually work, maintain CI/CD pipelines that keep examples current, and create starter templates that get developers productive in hours instead of days. Your code will be the first thing ISVs see—and we want their experience to be exceptional.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and maintain executable sample code showing real-world SDK and API usage, creating reference implementations developers can trust and build upon

  • Verify documentation accuracy by building applications against published APIs, ensuring technical correctness through hands-on validation

  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines that keep code examples current with releases, catching breaking changes before developers encounter them

  • Develop reusable templates for common integration patterns that accelerate ISV time-to-value and reduce repetitive support questions

  • Partner with Developer Experience Lead to identify and solve friction points in developer workflows, using AI coding assistants to maintain quality at scale

  • Design documentation workflows and contribution guidelines that enable engineers and partners to create high-quality code examples with minimal friction

  • Establish tooling infrastructure (build scripts, linting, testing) and metrics to maintain quality at scale and measure developer success

What we need to see:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years writing developer documentation or building sample applications for technical audiences, with fluency in Python, C++, or similar languages

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and docs-as-code workflows using Git and Markdown

  • Track record of validating documentation through working applications and using AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to enhance productivity

  • Experience building documentation systems and processes that scale across multiple contributors, not just writing individual pieces

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with graphics, simulation, or real-time systems; background in gaming, visual effects, robotics, or autonomous systems

  • Familiarity with USD, OpenGL, Vulkan, Kubernetes, or containerization technologies

  • Portfolio of reference architectures developers actually use, or open-source contributions with strong documentation

  • Custom AI workflows that demonstrably improve code quality or documentation efficiency

  • Experience creating interactive tutorials, Jupyter notebooks, or developer onboarding experiences that measurably reduce time-to-first-success

About NVIDIA Omniverse: We're building the operating system for physically accurate simulation. Our platform powers everything from robot development to digital twins to autonomous vehicle testing. The developers you'll support are literally building the future—and your documentation and examples will be critical to their success.

With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. We have some of the most hard-working and dedicated people in the world working for us. If you're creative and have a genuine passion for technology, we want to hear from you.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 140,000 USD - 224,250 USD for Level 4, and 168,000 USD - 270,250 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until November 14, 2025.NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
