About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Technical Sourcer to serve as the intelligence engine for our Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and Computer Vision talent acquisition efforts. This role is not about volume; it's about balancing speed, deep technical understanding, and strategic mapping. Your core mission is to find and engage the researchers and engineers who demonstrate exceptional first-principles thinking, technical rigor, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

You’ll be expected to understand the ML ecosystem, and engage candidates in meaningful conversations about their research and applied work. You are the critical first touchpoint, establishing the high bar for technical excellence.

What You'll Do

• Market Mapping & Expertise: Serve as the internal ML talent market expert by mapping top research institutions, labs, and startups, and providing competitive insights.

• First-Principles Search: Design search strategies that surface candidates with intellectual rigor and first-principles problem-solving skills.

• Research & Impact Evaluation: Assess candidate quality through analysis of publications, open-source contributions, and patents to gauge technical depth and impact.

• Pipeline Building: Proactively generate and maintain evergreen pipelines for high-bar ML roles (Emerging Talent, Research Scientists, Applied Scientists, and ML Engineering Leaders).

• Targeted Engagement: Craft precise, technically fluent outreach tailored to candidates’ research areas, ensuring credibility and resonance.

• Technical Screening & Representation: Lead high-bar technical screens while acting as a credible ambassador for the ML team, translating complex challenges into compelling narratives.

• Data-Driven Collaboration: Partner with recruiters and ML leadership through rigorous ATS/CRM tracking, quality-focused candidate delivery, and data-backed market reporting.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of dedicated technical sourcing experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused specifically on Machine Learning, AI, or Deep Learning talent.

• Technical acumen or a background that allows you to confidently read and discuss high-level ML concepts, research papers, and relevant programming stacks (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, etc.).

• Proven expertise in leveraging advanced search techniques, specialized tools (e.g., GitHub, Semantic Scholar, industry conferences), and networking to map niche talent pools.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior technical leadership in a high-growth, high-bar environment.

• Excellent written communication, characterized by precision and technical clarity, essential for credible candidate engagement.

• A highly analytical and meticulous approach to sourcing, prioritizing quality and rigor in everything you do.
