Job Description:
DataRobot delivers AI that maximizes impact and minimizes business risk. Our platform and applications integrate into core business processes so teams can develop, deliver, and govern AI at scale. DataRobot empowers practitioners to deliver predictive and generative AI, and enables leaders to secure their AI assets. Organizations worldwide rely on DataRobot for AI that makes sense for their business — today and in the future.
The Senior Technical Program Manager works closely with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Support to bring structure and velocity to complex AI product development, ensuring work moves smoothly from strategy to build to launch. You'll design and evolve the cross-functional programs that enable us to ship agentic and predictive capabilities with speed and rigor. Improve how we plan, execute, and deliver cross-functional initiatives. Be prepared to experiment and iterate on programs with a small TPM team and drive R&D execution on high-impact programs. We are looking for someone who has led teams that build distributed systems—that is, a thorough understanding of the architectural decisions, trade-offs, and operational challenges they will face.
If you have proven technical program management leadership, cross-functional influence, and are energized by building the operational processes that let high-performing teams move faster, get in touch.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve and scale how we plan, execute, and deliver cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, and feature delivery stakeholders. Specifically:
Own end-to-end delivery of strategic programs spanning R&D—ensuring alignment from concept through feature delivery, and iteration, with clear ownership and accountability for all deliverables.
Proactively identify and resolve cross-functional blockers to accelerate delivery, stepping in to facilitate resolution where ownership gaps exist and creating visibility into issues before they derail timelines.
Drive predictability and velocity by partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to improve estimation practices, clarify ownership boundaries, scale escalation paths, and establish metrics to track program health and team effectiveness
Build lightweight coordination mechanisms for multi-team initiatives: dependency tracking, decision frameworks, communication rhythms, and real-time visibility through Jira and engineering dashboards that keep teams aligned without creating bureaucracy
Design and scale repeatable programs and processes across R&D, transitioning matured programs to appropriate functional owners to ensure TPM leverage and organizational scalability
Experiment and iterate on program approaches in a lean environment—introduce new ideas, test what works, codify lessons learned, and continuously refine how we operate while fostering a culture of iterative improvement
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
5+ years of strategic Technical Program Management, Product Operations, or Technical Delivery experience in a complex SaaS environment.
Proven track record of managing complex programs in a matrix-style organization, building cross-functional relationships and navigating competing priorities from stakeholders in Engineering and Product environments.
Jira expertise, both in administration and as a consumer, including deep Jira automation understanding that results in the ability to drive operational process efficiency with automation, simplification, and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time and in budget while meeting the customer expectations in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving priorities, ambiguity, and technical complexity without adding unnecessary process.
Exceptional oral, written, and documentation skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams without formal authority.
Startup mentality—resourceful, scrappy, comfortable with uncertainty.
Proficiency in data analysis and building dashboards to monitor program health and conversion metrics.
