Agility Robotics is a pioneer. Our robot, Digit, is the first to be sold into workplaces across the globe. Our team is differentiated by its expertise in imagining, engineering, and delivering robots with advanced mobility, dexterity, intelligence, and efficiency -- robots specifically designed to work alongside people, in spaces built for people. Every day, we break through engineering challenges and invent new solutions and capabilities that will one day make robots commonplace and approachable. This work is our passion and our responsibility: our mission is to make businesses more productive and people’s lives more fulfilling.

About the Role

This role is embedded within the growing SW TPM team and will act as a force multiplier to the following teams:

  • The Arc Applications team enables Agility and customers to manage their Digit fleets, workflows, and deployments, track performance metrics, and visualize Digit’s value to their operations.
  • The Information Technology & Enterprise Services team acts as a strategic partner to the business by providing robust IT infrastructure, comprehensive data security, and enterprise applications that automate business processes and deliver responsive support.
About the Work
  • Translate vision into reality by owning the engineering plan for Arc. You will be directly responsible for ensuring the software that manages our robot fleets is robust, scalable, and delivered on time to our global partners.
  • Lead critical internal IT and enterprise system projects that directly support Agility's operational scale and efficiency. Your work will provide our teams with the robust and secure tools necessary to innovate and grow.
  • Act as our resident Jira Wizard to elevate our operational effectiveness. Your keen eye for process gaps and inefficiency and skill at developing sleek, high-value processes will improve operational efficiency for the entire SW TPM organization and the engineering teams we support
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement by serving as a dedicated Scrum Master. You will guide multiple software teams through agile ceremonies to improve their development velocity, predictability, and overall effectiveness.
  • Provide clear, consistent visibility into the progress of software deliverables, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and that deviations from the plan are identified and addressed early.
  • Enable engineering teams to maintain focus and momentum by proactively identifying and removing impediments.
  • Protect program timelines and outcomes by systematically identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. You will ensure there is a clear plan to address potential challenges, providing stability and predictability to our most important software initiatives.
About YouMinimum Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or a similar role, with a focus on software development.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master for software development teams.
  • High-level proficiency in architecting and administering complex Jira environments, including custom workflows, advanced roadmaps, automation, and reporting dashboards that serve the entire software organization.
  • Strong experience with proactively identifying opportunities for operational improvements, developing a solution, and driving consensus and adoption.
  • Solid technical aptitude with the ability to understand software development processes and challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with developing software to manage robotics and/or fleet operations, particularly in warehouse settings.
  • Familiarity with robotics technologies, such as perception systems or autonomy.
  • Certifications in Agile or Scrum (e.g., CSM, PSM).
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
