The Team:

As part of the Finance function, the Controllership team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting of the company’s financial results.  The Finance function has strong business partnerships and influence throughout the company.  We drive financially informed decisions in support of the company’s strategic objectives.  We are investing in advanced analytics capabilities to enhance our data-driven approach to problem solving.  We are focused on process improvement to provide the most efficient transactional support for our customers, vendors, and employees.  The Finance leadership team has a proven track record of talent development.  We invest in our team members and partner with them on their career development by offering a wide range of opportunities, including mentorships, special project assignments, training programs, and executive exposure. 

The Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring technical accounting compliance for the Company’s financial transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, with a focus on lease accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the company’s global lease accounting program in compliance with ASC 842, including preparing journal entries, coordinating entries for global subsidiaries, and ensuring key controls are operating effectively.

  • Assist with preparing financial statements and footnotes for SEC filings (annual 10-K and quarter 10-Qs) and Non-GAAP exhibits for the press release.

  • Assist with coordinating and supporting the annual financial audit and quarterly reviews performed by the external auditors.

  • Assist general ledger team with month-end close, including reviewing subsidiary results, intercompany invoicing, and reconciling intercompany balances.

  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner.

  • Perform testing for the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control compliance program.

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests, such as researching new technical guidance and completing government census reports.

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • CPA with experience in large public accounting firm is preferred  

  • 2+ years professional experience in accounting is required
